Tier - C
Division - MA40
Kelvin Cummings put together a strong and composed performance at the Roxburgh Open, a tightly contested C-tier hosted by Generation Disc Golf—fittingly, their final tournament event.
Kelvin came out firing in Round One, navigating brutal wind and rain to card a +2, a score that put him tied for first place overnight and comfortably above his PDGA rating. In conditions that demanded smart decision-making and disciplined shot selection, consistency was the name of the game.
Round Two brought a new challenge, with significant winds once again shaping play. While a few putts refused to stick, Kelvin stayed patient and composed, leaning heavily on the reliability of his RPM Discs overstable lineup—notably the Kiwi, Huia, and Kea—to control angles and manage the ever-changing conditions. That steady approach paid off, allowing him to secure third place outright in a closely fought field.
Across both days, Roxburgh proved to be a true test of execution and resilience. Kelvin’s ability to trust his discs, stick to his game plan, and perform under pressure highlighted exactly why RPM’s overstable moulds shine when conditions get tough.
A fitting way to close out a memorable final event for Generation Disc Golf, and a strong result to build momentum moving forward.
