I’ve just wrapped up competing at the Australasian Open A-Tier at Spa Park, Taupō — my first time playing this incredibly challenging course. Despite the scores not always reflecting it, I felt my game progressed each round. Round one featured some tough luck with roll-aways and tight OB, but strong C2 putting helped limit the damage. Round two was my best of the event, moving me up the division leaderboard, while round three continued that upward trend despite a few costly tree hits and OB strokes. Although I finished below my rating, the experience and learning from such a high-level event has been massive and will only make me a more solid player going forward. A huge thank you RPM Discs for your continued support. The Tākapu and Kōtuku were absolute standouts at Spa Park — providing reliable, accurate touch play when precision mattered most.
