Waitangi Weekend saw me competing at the MVP Tour Down Under Bottle Lake Open in Christchurch. Round 1 was bit gutting, with a series of unlucky OB lies and tree hits resulting in a score slightly below my rating — tough to swallow knowing there was more in the tank. Round 2 was a strong turnaround, cleaning up execution and putting together a solid back nine to finish over my rating. Round 3 closed the tournament on a high with back-to-back birdies and an 18m+ putt to finish, reinforcing confidence in my game and process. A huge thank you to the Wadsworth family for their hospitality, and to the wider disc golf community for making this event such a special one. Highlights included performing at the Saturday night function and, most importantly, caddying for and supporting Maree throughout the tournament. Grateful as always for the ongoing support from RPM Discs and everyone involved in delivering another outstanding Bottle Lake Open.
