When/how did you discover disc golf and knew you absolutely loved it?
I have a knee injury from playing soccer and took up disc golf for it’s low impact on my knee. I went disc golfing with a group of friends and aced the first time I tried backhand. People started handing me $5 bills, so I took that money and bought my first disc golf bag. I have been hooked ever since!
What’s your favourite RPM Disc in your bag right now and why?
I love the Kahu. I have a less stable run of the disc and it just goes so much farther than any other high speed driver that I have tried. I can give it power and it has such a good fade back after it flexes.
Do you have any practice routines? If so, what are they?
On the off season from touring I work on form and putting. Even though I have been playing for as long as I have, you can always improve and evolve. I do field work twice a week for distance, practice 150 and in upshots of all different angles, jump putts and putting for 30ft and in.
What are your goals for the current season?
My goals for 2022 are to bring home a major title. I took 2nd place in women’s nationals in Pro 40 and was so close to a title. I did reach my goal of winning overall points title in Pro 40 for the PDGA in 2021 so I would like to go back to back on that title as well.
Do you have a proudest disc golf moment?
I would have to say, playing the final round of USWDGC with idols of mine Juliana Korver and Jennifer Allen. We battled together that last round but mostly we encouraged each other and lifted one another.
What is the most memorable disc golf battle you’ve experienced/witnessed?
The most memorable battle I have had ironically was against my teammate Barret White. We were playing the silver cup in Wisconsin and we must have exchanged the lead 4 times through our final round. She then went to birdie hole 18, one of the hardest holes on the course while I hit the first two trees available. It was a battle to the last shot and somehow I got away with then win.
What is your go to tip for disc golf beginners?
Watch videos on form and technique. Start with slow neutral discs and midranges. Record yourself so you can compare it to videos you have seen and most importantly have FUN!
If you could play any course in the world and bring along any 3 disc golf friends, where and who would it be?
I have had the pleasure of playing most of my bucket list disc golf courses, including New Zealand. The one place I would love to spend a few weeks playing disc golf with friends would be Finland and Sweden. I have always wanted to see the northern lights and I hear they have so many disc golf courses over there!
