Year Started Disc Golf
When/how did you discover disc golf and knew you absolutely loved it?
I learned about disc golf a long while ago, as I’ve played Ultimate Frisbee for over 20 years. I tried to throw Disc Golf discs every now and then (rather unsuccsessfully) and played my first Disc Golf tournament in 2007 in Queenstown but only got hooked when my husband and I got stuck at Bella Rakha during lockdown in 2020.
What’s your favourite RPM Disc in your bag right now and why?
The Ruru. I’ve had my ups and downs with many other molds, but the Ruru has always been good to me 🙂
Do you have any practice routines? If so, what are they?
No, I don’t have a practice routine yet, I only try to play Disc Golf as much as possible.
What are your goals for the current season?
I will keep working on improving my rating and I’d like to play my best Disc Golf at the European Championships in Tallinn. And when things don’t go the way they’re supposed to, I’d still like to always keep a smile on my face.
Do you have a proudest disc golf moment?
Not really. Just executing great drives makes my proud… But I hope that I’ll be able to do really cool things in the future 🙂
What is the most memorable disc golf battle you’ve experienced/witnessed?
What is your go to tip for disc golf beginners?
Don’t start with trying to throw overstable drivers (of course that’s what I did), but rather with something slower, more understable and also lighter. You’ll have way more success this way and might fall in love with the game a bit earlier.
If you could play any course in the world and bring along any 3 disc golf friends, where and who would it be?
Bella Rakha with Simon, Mario, Reto and Juho.
