Year Started Disc Golf
When/how did you discover disc golf and knew you absolutely loved it?
Like many, I transitioned from Ultimate to Disc Golf during the pandemic 2020-2021. With my body growing tired of Ultimate, Disc Golf was a perfect alternative for me.
What’s your favourite RPM Disc in your bag right now and why?
Kahu. Kahu was my first main distance driver and remains so now. I get a very consistent flight with a little turn and reliable fade, giving predictable results provided there is on user error...
Do you have any practice routines? If so, what are they?
Not really, though I sould include putting practice somehwere.
What are your goals for the current season?
Living remote to a DG course, my goal this season is to keep my skills fairly polished and travel to as many league days and tournaments as I can.
Do you have a proudest disc golf moment?
I was very proud to travel to the QLD Open in 2021 as my first tournament, and the first tournament where Kingfisher DG was represented. I was able to take the win in MA4 which I was very happy with.
What is the most memorable disc golf battle you’ve experienced/witnessed?
In Townsville (my home course) I have had many one-on-one battles with some of the locals and on any day I could lose or win - these were good battles.
What is your go to tip for disc golf beginners?
Stay away from higher speed drivers until your leopard starts to turn strongly.
If you could play any course in the world and bring along any 3 disc golf friends, where and who would it be?
I'd love to play Nokia, I'd take Nate Hammell, Matt De Witt and my lovely wife Keri.
