I was playing guitar for a metal band WAY back in the day and the vocalist of the band asked me to go play Disc Golf. At the time, I had never even heard of Disc Golf. When explaining it to me he was telling me how you throw these discs that are similar to frisbees at these baskets in the woods. After this first description I declined because it didn't sound like anything I was interested in. He kept on asking me a couple more times and I finally gave in and decided to try it out. That FIRST round was enough for me to know that I was in for the long haul. I have been playing Disc Golf ever since!

Not much to be honest. Occasionally I will pick up my stack of 5 Magma Soft Tuis that I keep at the Disc Golf shop I work at and putt for a bit but unfortunately, I don't stay consistent with it.

I would like to get back up a little closer to a 900 rating. The highest rating I have reached to date was 910 and I am absolutely positive I can get back over 900 again if I can play how I know I can play.

I guess I would have to say that my proudest Disc Golf moments are the times when people recognize me from the Disc Golf Channel I run on YouTube. Just to know that I am having a positive impact on the Disc Golf in my area really gives me a sence of pride in the work I have done to promote the area.

That would have to be my first (non-sanctioned) tournament win. It came down to a tie with myself and another local player in the City Championship. We went into a playoff on a longer hole where the other player had the obvious advantage on because he could throw much further than me. I was able to get the par and take the win so that moment definitely sticks out in my mind.

Throw putters! Throw mid-ranges! PLEASE do not make the mistake I made and start with distance drivers!

With so many amazing courses and tons of disc golf friends, I am going to have to say any local course with my family is the most fun to me!

Not much left to say besides the fact that I love to watch the birds out on the course, throw these beautiful RPM birds, and try to get birds on the scorecard!
