When/how did you discover disc golf and knew you absolutely loved it?
My twin brother introduced it to me. Took me to play a local course, played one round and I couldn’t stop playing after that.
What’s your favourite RPM Disc in your bag right now and why?
It would have to be the Kotuku mid range. I’m able to backhand and forehand it both in the woods and in the field. It’s great in all of RPM plastic too. Especially if you’re trying to get variation of flights when you beat it in.
Do you have any practice routines? If so, what are they?
I usually practice 2 times in the field with cones at each hundred feet. I try to putt practice every day.
What are your goals for the current season?
I want to putt better under pressure. I just started entering in advance this past year and I love seeing how good people are. It motivates me to do better. Also, as a teacher I am continuing with my discgolf club and would love get the kids on a road trip this year.
Do you have a proudest disc golf moment?
Watching my son throw his first disc at his first course.
What is the most memorable disc golf battle you’ve experienced/witnessed?
I got watch MJ(Michael Johansen) play against some young guys. He is one of my favorite players here in North Carolina and it was awesome to watch him play so smoothly. One the coolest things I got to witness even though he didn’t win. Even got him to sign a disc for me.
What is your go to tip for disc golf beginners?
Start with some midranges and putters. Try forehand and backhand. Play with friends.
If you could play any course in the world and bring along any 3 disc golf friends, where and who would it be?
Any course with friends and family is a great course. Would love to have my son Auden, my wife Alex and my twin brother Jason playing with me.
