Year Started Disc Golf
When/how did you discover disc golf and knew you absolutely loved it?
i was introduced to disc golf early in 2022 by two of my friends in my ultimate frisbee team. i knew i loved it on the second round i played and i managed to get a full flight out of a fairway driver, watching it fly was addicting.
What’s your favourite RPM Disc in your bag right now and why?
Atomic Ruru. one of the first discs i ever purchased. It's an absolute workhorse for straight shots. if i am ever in doubt about a shot, i can usually rely on this to do what i need.
Do you have any practice routines? If so, what are they?
i enjoy doing field work. working out how to get all the angles on throws out of every disc in my bag. i also like using a practice round technique i heard on Drew Gibsons channel. play two rounds against yourself simultaneously, one would be the "tournament" shot and the other be the shot that isn't in my comfort zone (e.g. forehand drives off the tee/flex lines).
What are your goals for the current season?
to compete successfully in MA2. Win my first tournament.
Do you have a proudest disc golf moment?
Getting my first birdie and beating my friend Bryce for the first time, he taught me how to play (took me almost a year to do).
What is the most memorable disc golf battle you’ve experienced/witnessed?
A casual battle, for the final skin in a worst shot doubles match. took 9 pushes after completing 18 holes for any of us to finally bag the skins. was a good laugh with everyone.
What is your go to tip for disc golf beginners?
Start throwing putters/midranges and perfect them before discing up.
If you could play any course in the world and bring along any 3 disc golf friends, where and who would it be?
Maple Hill with Bryce, Remmy (the two that got me into the sport) and Jimmy (who was there as we played our very first round together).
