Year Started Disc Golf
When/how did you discover disc golf and knew you absolutely loved it?
I started playing in college, but I knew I loved the game when my friends convinced me to compete in my first tournament in 2021. I've been playing almost every week since.
What’s your favourite RPM Disc in your bag right now and why?
Piwakawaka for sure! First off, that name is AMAZING!! Second, I love that I can throw it on almost every shot, and it go exactly where I want it to with little to no fade at the end.
Do you have any practice routines? If so, what are they?
Yes. In addition to getting out and playing rounds often, I try to practice putting every day for at least 15 to 30 minutes depending on how much time I have.
What are your goals for the current season?
To be at least 900-920 rated by the end of my season.
Do you have a proudest disc golf moment?
In a tournament, cranking my distance driver(Discraft Thrasher) 445ft.
What is the most memorable disc golf battle you’ve experienced/witnessed?
Watching my best friend, Noah Osborne, battle it out to take down the win at the 2019 Amateur World Championships.
What is your go to tip for disc golf beginners?
Don't worry about how far you can throw. Focus on the basics and get more consistent with your shots, and the distance will come.
If you could play any course in the world and bring along any 3 disc golf friends, where and who would it be?
Any of the courses in NZ around RPM Discs and I would bring Noah Osborne, Zane McPherson and Derrick Chester. Three of my closest disc golf friends, and the people responsible for me staying committed to the game and getting better.
