Michael Holland is one of Team RPM’s new Tribe members for 2022 and he is here to impress! Over the course of the last two and a half months, Michael has claimed three 1st places<\/strong> and four top 5s<\/strong> out of 8 tournaments already! He is quickly improving his PDGA rating, having jumped from 908 to 932 in just a month. Michael is a player that knows that ‘practice makes progress’ and I am sure we are going to see him featured on many more Team Achievement posts throughout this year.<\/p>\n

Michael’s two most recent wins were Tree Love AM Slam<\/a> and Griplocked Flex<\/a>, where he shot 5 and 2 under par.<\/p>\n

Michael’s comments on the event:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Both courses I played are roughly half wooded and half open. In North Texas, winds this time of year are a steady 20 mph with gusts of 25 mph most days, so these courses demand you have every shot in the bag. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the woods I rely on my atomic Tui, magma soft Kotuku, and atomic Pekapeka to carve out my woods lines and in the open field I rely on my cosmic Kahu, strata Kotare, and my cosmic\/magma soft Keas. <\/span><\/p>\n

I’m comfortable with all the discs in my bag and having the confidence in knowing what every disc is going to do for each shot shape is what’s driving my game to the next level. <\/span><\/p>\n

My most memorable moment of the two events was at the Tree Love event. I was tied for first heading into the last hole of the tournament. It’s a difficult par 4 with OB on both sides of the fairway, a tight tunnel shot off the tee, and a creek in the middle of the fairway that plays OB. To give yourself a birdie look on the hole you need to be safe about 350 feet off the tee. I ripped my Pekapeka 380 feet off the tee and forehanded my cosmic Kea under the pin to tap in for the win. <\/span><\/p>\n

I’m averaging 966 for the 2022 season alone and once the winds die down a bit more I’m looking to average somewhere near 980 by the end of the season.<\/span>“<\/p>\n
