How did you discover Disc Golf?

My brother showed me the sport in January of 2020 and it was another fun way to compete with my brother in something that neither of us had an advantage over the other. It wasn't until December of 2021 when my brother passed away that I truly fell in love with the sport. I always thought it was fun but when I lost my brother it became so much more, I felt that whenever I was on the course my brother was with me laughing at all my terrible throws and encouraging my good shots. I fell in love with Disc golf because it gave me a chance to feel like my brother is still watching over me.

What is your proudest Disc Golf moment?

winning my first tournament, I have always tried to play above my rating in tournaments because I believe that helps you grow as a player faster by challenging yourself so in order for me to win tournaments I would have to string together several really good rounds and I was finally able to do that and won in a playoff.

What are your practice routines?

putting for 30 minutes everyday, field work for about an hour per week, form review as necessary

What is your go-to tip for beginners?

slow is smooth, smooth is fast, fast is far.

Comment: "the Tara iti is nice and straight out of the box with a good fade at the end of the flight, this disc also beats in really nicely so that you can get a hyzer flip to flat or a little turn when released flat but not have to worry about it getting too understable and losing its fade."
