Started Disc Golf in 2025

My Husband Dylan came across the sport in America when travelling for work back in 2018. He started playing when he got back to NZ but at the time I was an avid runner and didn’t show any interest in it. It wasn’t until I snapped my Achilles tendon in 2024, had surgery and during my slow recovery realised I needed to change my direction and this is when I started going out for a round with my hubby. Now it’s 2026 and we have roped out five children out for games and enjoy playing the sport as a family! My disc golf career is only beginning!

We have a RPM basket in the back yard so putting practice which often leads into a comp with family and friends. We also live 350m from our local Timaru Caroline Bay course so I often sneak away in between clients for a round or have my two small children biking beside me!

Don’t count your throws - just go out and enjoy the sun and fresh air!
