The RPM Helix 2 -WG Heavy Duty Disc Golf Basket – has been optimized to meet the requirements of the PDGA and the DGPT. The WG version has the same catching configuration as the regular Helix 2 with 35 chains and the proprietary necklace arrangement to reduce spit out and give additional confidence when putting into it.

RPM has been making baskets since 2006 and continues to innovate in search of the perfect design. Presenting a flawless synergy of art and practicality, this basket will enhance any disc golf course or your backyard.
1) The chain supporting spokes are a Z shape which not only adds strength but also provides the perfect sliding angle to help absorb the disc impact. Two sliding sets of 14 chains and a set of 7 ‘Necklace loops’ are included.
2) The Wine Glass shaped basket is a stronger design, the looked good and provide a deep ‘bucket’ to hold the discs. Moving the 8mm Wire to the exterior of the basket spokes gave two benefits; A) the discs could no longer skip off the internal rings B) It added a sculptural form meaning for the non disc golfer the proportions and shape were pleasing to look at in a public park. The only downside is they are slightly larger for shipping and a bit harder to make.
3) The outer and inner chain sets connect to their own centre rings, this reduces the bulk swing back you can get with too much chain weight. The Necklace loops provide interference for the inner chain set preventing the chains from flying back and away, this feature dramatically reduces ‘bounce outs’ from the centre pole.
4) Reduced diameter of the chain rings means the deflection angle of the inner and outer chain set directs the discs down and not out!
5) 3mm Wall thickness of the centre pole means it is very strong and harder for vandals to bend.
The RPM 2-WG has a 10 year limited manufacturing warranty, this excludes the ground sleeve and damage associated with vandalism or transportation.
