Started Disc Golf in 2023

I started actually competing in 2023 at the Moonbase tournament in Twizel. Before that though, I played for fun e.g. I went on a holiday to Queenstown in 2022 with my parents and we went ice skating. When we were leaving, they had a sign about hiring discs and playing a round in the gardens there. It was quite tricky knowing how to throw the disc but we had so much fun that on the way home, we stopped at Rebel Sport in Queenstown and bought an RPM Starter pack so we could play the next day as well. Then when we got back home, I started playing more with my friends and family. Also, we played a round of Disc Golf with our friends in Nelson during the Christmas holidays one year which was really cool and that same friend got me some discs for my birthday because I was getting into it by then! I love it because every round you play is different and I love playing with my friends and family!

Winning North and South Island Champs last year - it was so cool to go to both tournaments (my friends in the North Island got me there which was really special and then my Grandparents and Dad got me to the South Islands. I felt really lucky and grateful that I was able to get to both tournaments and winning them was a bonus.

Get on the course and play whenever you can - that's a great way to learn! Make sure to get some practise putting in and do some field throwing if time allows

Get out on the course regularly and have fun with your friends and family! That is what I love to do - it's important to have fun!
