How did you discover Disc Golf?
I started playing casually with friends after work and it only took a few god shots to get me hooked! I organised a coffee and tea stand for players during a cold and rainy Lords and Ladies of Lismore tournament, meeting some of the locals and instantly wanting to join the club. The next year I returned to Lords and Ladies of Lismore, but this time as a player in my first tournament.
Having access to a variety of courses in Wanaka has also encouraged my love for the sport.
What is your proudest Disc Golf moment?
Winning my first tournament in a deep field of MA1 players, on home turf in Wanaka. A challenging course with a lot of potential for trouble!
What are your practice routines?
I enjoy playing a round with friends, challenging each other to throw lines we would not normally try and hit. I have also managed to get my basket as a permanent fixture at work, making a couple of putts whenever I walk past - got to get those reps in!
What is your go-to tip for beginners?
Slow is smooth and smooth is fast - slow things down and work on your timing to throw more consistent distance and accuracy, the rest will come in time!

Comment: "The Kahu XG has enough glide and reliable turn to really help me reach my max distance drives for those long fairways."
