How did you discover Disc Golf?
When I was young my dad took my older brother and I to go play disc golf for the first time. I grew up playing sports and my dad just wanted to introduce us to a new sport he played before and to enjoy on a nice summer day together.
From day one, I lived seeing the disc fly! Especially on a really good throw; to see it fly farther and farther! I was hooked!
What is your proudest Disc Golf moment?
I have a couple to point out:
First, I played colligate disc golf for my university; and in 2012, I made All American team at The National Championship, secured the title of National Colligate Distance Champion, and set the new college distance record at the time.
Second, but even more of a memorable moment; I completed in and won the 2012 United States Disc Golf Championship - Performance Flight division and got to throw across Winthrop Lake in the distance showcase!
What are your practice routines?
My practice routine has evolved over the years. Some years it's about making sure I get enough repetitions to engrain routine into my muscle memory and some years it's to make as many putts as possible. The main thing that stays consistent is trying angles and shot shapes with my discs to learn what I can do in any situation. Scrambling after an errant drives/shots saves pars. Birdies help to win and Pars help to fight off losing. At the end of the day, I need to be in tune with my throws and know how each shot is going to feel and play out.
What is your go-to tip for beginners?
Relax and breathe; too much tension in the body can lead to uncertainty in flight and mistakes. Enjoy the game!

Comment: "A good overstable disc is hard to beat. Overstable is consistent, consistency is reliable, and reliability is trust and performance. The Kotare takes away the guess work from a shot."
