How did you discover Disc Golf?
I was in pretty poor shape. Suffering with PTSD and social anxiety. A friend told me we were getting this new thing installed at a city park called \"Disc golf\" and I should check it out. I sat down that night and watched it on youtube till the wee hours of the AM, and had a starter pack there as fast as Amazon could get it. Here I am going on 5 years later, played 18 events last year and want to do more this year!
What is your proudest Disc Golf moment?
The first ace. Took almost 4 years, but when it finally happened, the feeling was the purest joy I had felt in years.
What are your practice routines?
As an older player, I limit fieldwork and putting to about 30 minutes tops. Physical ailments mean that if I am throwing for extended periods, I find my form deteriorates rapidly. But I try to work on drives first, then standstill, and finish with putting.
What is your go-to tip for beginners?
Practice the pause. While I am 100% in favor of full compliance with 30 seconds, if you find the round is slipping away, step away from your card or the tee-box if you are playing alone, and make yourself refocus.

Comment: "I can make the Kotuku do almost anything as long as I do my part and throw it on the correct angle. And it flies almost as far as most of my fairway drivers."
