How did you discover Disc Golf?

I started playing in high school with my brother and it wasn't too long after that I got hooked. I was out playing a pretty casual round my brother and some friends and ended up hitting my first ace! That's all it took, I got that adrenaline rush and wanted more, so I started putting in work on form, started playing tournaments and here we are today. Now I play for myself, my friends and the community that surrounds the sport is one of the best!

What is your proudest Disc Golf moment?

My proudest disc golf moment currently takes place at the lake eureka preview event. I had been played this tournament twice before and had yet to make it over the water off hole one's tee shot, but as they say the third times a charm, I finally made it over the water and that significant to me because that provided proof to myself that the work I was putting into my form was finally paying off. And that is what has lead me to where I am now and I'll continue to push to improve my game as long as I can continue to play.

What are your practice routines?

I prefer to practice on the courses locally. Playing a round solo throwing as many shots as I can that fits each hole I play making sure to throw a couple different lines if possible. Afterwards I putt till my fingers fall off lol.

What is your go-to tip for beginners?

Start off slow this sport isn't something most people get good at overnight treat it like a marathon, work on one piece of your game at a time and set realistic expectations/goals as you progress thru the year. Setting small reachable goals can be a lot more motivating and fun than setting only long term goals.

Favourite Disc

Plastic Type: Cosmic
Comment: "The Cosmic Kahu XG is one of my favorite discs I don't quite have the arm to get the full flight out of the regular Kahu out of the box, but the Kahu XG is basically a kahu beat in from the start Making it a great flyer for me. Hard to find a truly easy to throw distance driver but for me the Kahu XG is it!"

“Every once in awhile, I feel like, you know, yeah sure, they’re better looking than me, and yeah they can throw farther. And so what that they can putt better? But at least their approaches are closer, and they’re more consistent!” – Jeremy Koling
