How did you discover Disc Golf?
I picked up disc golf with some of my college ultimate frisbee teammates during the offseason, we needed a break from ultimate but still wanted to throw discs. I love being out in nature, and disc golf takes me to all sorts of beautiful places. I also love how disc golf is competitive but not directly competitive> I can be supportive of my competitors because its not really me against them, its me against the course.
What is your proudest Disc Golf moment?
Winning my first tournament! It was at Waterloo DGC in Lebanon Oregon, I played the course for the first time the day before the event. It came down to a three-way playoff and I won it on the first hole!
What are your practice routines?
Practice putt everyday, if I'm prepping for a tournament I like to throw two off the tee on every hole and play the worse of the two so I can practice being out of position.
What is your go-to tip for beginners?
Start with slower discs, throwing straight is more important than throwing far. The Piwakawaka is the perfect beginner disc as it is easier for slower arms to get up to speed and faster arms will learn angle control.

Plastic Type: Atomic
Comment: "I currently bag five Takapus, two Magma hard for putting, two Atomics for stable and straight throwing, and one Magma soft for understable approaches and long putts. The Takapu has been my putting putter for two seasons now and those have been by far the best putting years I've had. It has a very comfortable hand feel for putting and throwing and a very predictable level of stability without dumping out early."
