Tangaroa

Tangaroa – Atua Series
This design features Tangaroa. Tangaroa has dominion over waters, life in the sea, and is the atua that gives us our artform of whakairo or carving.
The toi Māori features paua (abalone) and manaia (Guardian), drawing further reference to Tangaroa’s children and his guardianship of the moana and the life within it.
Tangaroa-whamau-tai is another name of Tangaroa’s, speaking to his domain over the tides. Like his brothers, Tangaroa also fought Tümatauenga for his children to have supremacy over Tū’s children – Mankind. Like his siblings he too, fell to Tu’s great war prowess and to this day his children are food for Tumatauenga’s children te ira tangata. Tangatoa provides kai, water and whakairo and is also capable of great dstruction.

About the Tākapu
The RPM Tākapu

The RPM Tākapu is molded in 5 standard plastic types and with many colours and effects. It is PDGA approved to 176g. The Tākapu has a slow and very stable flight with a gentle late fade. The bead-less rim and rounded nose fits perfectly into your hand and helps eliminate wobble. When thrown with high power they will hold their line like a laser beam. The Magma and Strata varieties feel silky and grippy and Magma comes in 3 grades of stiffness. With a similar depth to the Ruru, they make great putters. Watch the videos above to see our disc expert, Jackson Sullivan, review the Tākapu.
