General Criteria to Qualify

  • New Zealand resident
  • Representing RPM Discs on the course
  • PDGA Number
  • Minimum of 8 PDGA / Metrix / Udisc events per year in Intermediate, Advanced or Professional divisions excluding Juniors
  • Minimum of 1 promotional social media post per event played (with #tags)
  • Bag a minimum of 5 RPM discs

Expectations

We expect team members to compete in a minimum of 8 tournaments a year at intermediate division or higher (exceptions will be granted to members in locations where there are not as many available events and Juniors). The more you play, the more exposure we get. Make sure you wear the Team RPM gear while on the course so people know you’re one of us!

A sponsorship with us does not require you to exclusively bag RPM Discs, although we hope that you bag a minimum of 5 RPM molds. We have a great disc lineup with many disc types to choose from. For advice email us at team@rpmdiscs.com.

We want positive representation! This means that while you are bearing the Team RPM logo that your behavior upholds our good natured reputation. Make other people feel the RPM family vibes!

What we care about is that you love our brand and our products. We want our players to advertise our brand to others on the course and on social media. We want you to be proactive! We recommend you try to make 1 social media post per event you play. We believe this to be a reasonable request for our competitive team players and something we’re sure your friends and family will be proud of.

On Disc Golf related social media posts, we want you to tag us: #rpmdiscs, #itsinournature, #teamrpm. We love seeing posts of new RPM discs you have acquired or short videos of you throwing. We appreciate disc reviews and overall positive exposure for our brand.

If you’re an organizer, you can plan events that we can sponsor, and we can send you discs to sell to people or to have as prizes. If this interests you, please email us at info@rpmdiscs.com.   

We want to reach out and get every Disc Golf store across the world stocking our products, therefore it is greatly appreciated when you put us into contact with your local disc golf retailers. For stores we don’t already sell to we offer a finders fee for the initial sale typically between 5% and 10% depending on the Wholesale rate they come in on.

One of the benefits of being a part of Team RPM is that you are rewarded for placing top 5 or higher in PDGA/Metrix events (B-C tier and higher). In order to receive these benefits, it is your job to submit your results through the website so that we can properly allocate you what you’ve earned at the end of the year.  If you do not submit your tournament results, you will not receive any store credit benefits at the end of the year. Please bear this in mind and make sure you are proactive on this front!

Submitting results as soon as you have finished a tournament means that we can feature you on the monthly Team Achievement posts if you place in the top five.

If you have an event rated A or Major tier coming up, make sure to apply for a shoutout so that we can hype up the event and support you on social media.

Q. Do I need to exclusively bag RPM Discs?

A: No. You can have a mixed bag, although your Team NZ contract does require you to bag at least 5 of our RPM molds. Naturally we want you throwing our discs because you love them and trust their performance. We want our discs to earn their spots in your bag. We have an excellent disc lineup with many disc types to choose from. Q. Do I need to exclusively represent RPM Discs?

A: No. You are welcome to have other sponsors, as long as you still put in the work that is expected of you being a sponsored player of Team RPM. (See Expectations to find out more).

Q. Do I need to pay to be a part of Team RPM?

A: Short answer, no. No costs are required to join Team RPM. Naturally, some expenses are to be expected since you will need to own at least 6 of our discs to represent us, but all costs (such as the discounted disc allotment) are optional.

Q. How do I promote to Crown?

A: Team Crown’s player roster is reviewed at the end of every year. During the review process, Parliament and Tribe players are taken under consideration for a promotion based on their performance during the season. To improve your chance of getting into Crown, make sure that you are playing minimum of 15 pro events per season, aim for a rating of 965+, and be actively promoting us online (1 Instagram post per tournament).

Q. If I have already gotten a Team pack and shirt before, can I get another?

A: You can get a new disc allotment and shirt deal every disc golf season.

Shirts are $40 NZD (incl shipping) each. You will get a 15% discount if you order 3+ shirts.

You will get your first shirt free if you spent over $300 NZD (excl shipping) on your team 2024 allotment order. This will automatically be checked.
